Your World is once again setting the standard for recruitment agencies following official recognition of its efforts to be an inclusive employer.
At a ceremony attended by Maria Miller, the Minister for Disability, Your World was awarded the two ticks disability symbol which can be displayed by firms which have proved they work positively with disabled people.
The symbol, which is only given to companies carefully vetted by Jobcentre Plus, can be used on official documents including job adverts and application forms. Firms that are awarded the symbol have to satisfy a number of criteria including interviewing all disabled people who apply for a job if they meet the minimum requirements; making every effort to help any worker who becomes disabled stay in work; and making sure all staff understand the support disabled people need.
Your World’s Compliancy Manager Lucy French, who was officially presented with the award by Ms Miller, said: “This symbol is yet another positive accreditation for Your World. It shows we make a huge effort to promote diversity throughout our workforce and that we are an active Equal Opportunities employer.”
Top marks: Lucy, right, receives the two ticks award from Maria Miller, Minister for Disability.
